A laundry lady hears life-changing stories

A woman in North Africa who works hard for her living by cleaning, washing clothes, and cooking for others, Mouna* has recently listened to several Bible stories in her own dialect. These stories are vaguely familiar to her from the Quran, but she prefers the beauty of the stories as told in the Bible. She used to argue when people tried to talk to her about Jesus, but now she cannot hear enough about him, his life, and his love. This hard-working woman is open and seeking – she’s on the threshold of becoming a new creation in Jesus.

Pray that the truth of the Word will break down Mouna’s lifetime of strongholds and that the Spirit will draw her to Jesus. As she meditates on Jesus’ love for her, may she realise that “God’s kindness leads you toward repentance” (Romans 2:4b, NIV). Mouna has shared these Bible stories with her immediate and extended family members and her neighbours. Pray that they will all choose to believe in Jesus and that they will all share him with others.
