Riding in taxis can have eternal consequences!
On Thursday night last week, I went to Melbourne and the taxi driver was a Sikh. I told him a few stories and we talked a bit. I told him about Lazarus rising from the dead and about Jesus healing the paralytic who was brought to him by his four friends. At the end of the journey he began to conclude that Jesus is God and I explained to him the need for confession and acceptance of Jesus but he didn’t come to the Lord right then. I left him a tract to read and consider what we had been talking about.
On the return to the airport, I had a Peruvian taxi driver and again I told him the stories and in particular the Lazarus story. This man has been here in Australia for 20 years. At the end of the journey, we sat for a while and he asked me, “So what do I do?” I was conscious of the taxi movement and need to allow him to move quickly so I left him with a “Two ways to Live” tract.
How could you use your daily contacts and tell stories?
